After the pizza was eaten, we kicked off. I had a few minor skirmishes early and chipped from 1000 to 1200, then down to 800. Unfortunately, my tournament didn’t last much longer. I called a raise with 67 from the Big Blind. The 963 flop checked through and the turn was a 5. My opponent bet, I raised with my pair and double gutshot straight draw. He quickly went all in and I had a decision to make. I felt from the speed of his action and his demeanour that he didn’t have a very good hand, and my equity in the pot was good, so I called. I was wrong in that thinking though, as he flipped over 78 for the nuts!
